Jo Nesbø Collection 3 Books Set: The Redbreast, Nemesis, The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbø

4.0

OK, I've now read two Nesbo books in the Harry Hole series, and I'm impressed. Not for the faint of heart, but I guess this is what "hard-boiled" means in the detective/mystery genre. Add in the Euro-Scandinavian twist, and it's pretty entertaining fare - it's something significantly different. This one started fast, kept my attention throughout (I was more inclined to read than sleep), and contained a sufficient number of plot twists to lead me down the wrong path multiple times... Granted, (without a spoiler) I'm ready for one of the bad guys to finally run out of luck, but I guess I'll have to keep reading. Anyway, much fun, and about as compelling as anything I've read in this genre.
