This story follows the major events from the Civil War conflict, which is a little different in the comics than portrayed in the movie. There were a lot of characters I didn’t know beforehand but it was fairly easy to follow along, even with most of my knowledge coming only from the movies.

It’s definitely not necessary to read this before seeing Namor in the new Black Panther film but I liked that I had a little idea of who his character is. I do like the way they developed him in the movie best but the nods to his personality from the comics were interesting to pick up on.
