Endure: Mind, Body, and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance by Alex Hutchinson

4.0

Hutchinson presents an interesting take on science of human beings pushing themselves to performance (and sometimes survival) limits. Like many reviewers have mentioned, this isn't meant to be a guide to how to improve one's own performance, but seeks to present the science behind human performance limits for the scientifically curious mind. Overall, Hutchinson does a great job of presenting interesting anecdotes and breaking down how our understanding of endurance and performance have progressed overtime.
