Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee

4.0

4 1/2

I’m at the beach as I write this. It’s only fitting that my first beach read would be about a beach wedding and romance.

Rachel Magee’s Beach Wedding Weekend scores with me. It’s a sweet, enjoyable romance between Paige and Aiden. Paige thought she was in love with Brody who broke off their romance when he left for his work in Europe. When he returns and Paige loses her ability to speak in his presence, Aiden volunteers to help make Brody jealous so Paige can win Brody back in exchange for Paige’s help in sealing a business deal. What neither anticipates is that they might fall in love or recognize that they might already be there in the meantime.

I can testify first hand that this is a wonderful beach read. Here I am at the beach and devoured this book. I love the fun romance between Paige and Aiden who realize, albeit slowly, that maybe they’ve been experiencing love for a long time. I also love that Paige realizes that she’s have one of the best days of her life when she and Aiden are in a boat on the Gulf surrounded by dolphins and that nothing she had experienced with Brody could even come close.

As a nature lover, I appreciated Magee’s awareness of the surrounding environs and her description.

This is a Hallmark romance and I noted that B&N has it listed as a Christian romance, which I typically avoid. This has no religious overtones, but it is a clean romance. It is sweet and just an excellent read without overly dramatic angst.

If you’re headed on vacation and want something sweet and romantic, I can happily recommend Beach Wedding Weekend.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
