A story of resilience in dark times. The story was interesting as it told of the camps of World War II beyond those in Europe, which I knew nothing about.
Nevertheless I found the characters a bit one-dimensional and underdeveloped which made it hard to have empathy for them, in spite of the suffering that those in the camps experienced.
The book just wasn’t my personal taste.
