Poison Fruit by Jacqueline Carey
4.0
Great fun read I literally stayed up until two in the morning to finish.
Even though I haven't read the earlier books I the series there was enough"remember when"material to get me up to speed without it being to annoying.
This is the kind of magic I can dig. It's got rules, and a logical basis behind it that makes it easy to swallow.
The characters are what you'd expect from this author without being repetitive. There's a rainbow of real people in here.
Now I've got to backtrack and start with book one.
Recommended to anyone who thought the book blurb sounded fun.
