The 57 Bus: A True Story of Two Teenagers and the Crime That Changed Their Lives by Dashka Slater

3.0

my only issue is with the writing style itself. She really just tells the story and explains everything to us, instead of showing us what is happening. We don’t come to any conclusion on our own, everything is heavily explained to us. I did not like the writing style, there’s no technique or flair. It reads more like an interview or script than a novel, which made it hard for me to get through. I liked her careful detail and description of characters though. Overall, this is a novel not an editorial, some writing style would be nice
