3.25 out of 5 Stars: This was more about the children in Anne's life than Anne herself. I liked watching the new generation grow but it was hard to keep track of them all.

2024 Review: I stick to my original thought of this book passing the torch onto the Blythe and Mance Children and their budding friendships. It really adds layers that you experience in the last books.

The adults moreso become the background characters including Anne, Gilbert, Susan. Now some of the other adults in the town made some pretty racist comments that made me uncomfortable.

Overall there is a sweetness to this book with the ease of childhood and friendships with those that you find the instant click with was everything.  It reminds me of the sweetness of what I miss of childhood.
