2.5 stars. Really wasn't into this. It's partially my fault for making some assumptions about the romance based on the synopsis and some reviews that turned out to be incorrect. Possibly for that reason, I just couldn't get into the actual romance at all. I like slow burn, but I need some sort of development, and this felt like it came out of nowhere. The world seemed interesting but I also struggled to follow what was going on and never got into the plot. I don't think this was terrible, but it wasn't what I was expecting or looking for, and I have no plans of continuing with the series.
