Rabbit by Jeannine Amber, Patricia Williams

4.5

Ms. Pat can definitely turn a sad story around. And that’s how I got here. Hearing her story on interviews and her watching her tv series #TheMsPatShow made me want to know more.
In this read you will not find a call for pity. You will get a story of triumph from a little girl who was failed on so many levels time after time by so many people for as far back as 7 years of age. She grew up during Atlanta crack epidemic, substance abuse environment, mother issues, pregnancy, poverty, generational trauma and being invisible.
At times you forget she is 16 and on her own. At that age selling crack, jail, pregnancy, taking in her sister kids, etc.
There is so much love in this story too.  Ms. Pat has a huge heart. Her humorous storytelling will have you laughing and you’re wondering if you should be or not.
