This book was so horrifyingly creepy and disturbingly icky, and I really liked it for that exact reason. The symbiosis elements were done really expertly, and I loved that Butler based this book off her initial research into the fauna of Peru (specifically Bot flies). As Butler mentions, I think this book also does a great job of examining the topic of male pregnancy as a mode of sacrificial love. All in all a REALLY good short read, perfect for Fall and spooky season!
