Five Ways to Fall by K.A. Tucker
5.0
Just think how nice it would be to have to one person that you trust so completely.
I am a huge fan of this series. FWTF is easily my second favorite book from the series and rivals TTB for the all time favorite slot. From the first pages until the last, the book flows amazingly well. It is told from dual POVS of Ben and Reese. While Ben has made appearances in the other books, he has remained much of a mystery. I fell in love with his character early on; while he appears to be a player, who can resist a man that’s a Mama’s boy at heart?
He doesn’t hide who hide who he is; he doesn’t lie or promise anything. He doesn’t play stupid head games.
I found Reese to be immediately likable. She is strong willed but has a vulnerable side to her as well. She often uses her humor as a defense mechanism. The banter between these two is hilarious and I loved watching them slowly develop a deep, worthwhile relationship. Even if they refuse to acknowledge it throughout most of the book, their story is beautiful to watch unfold.
For everything else about her that was a lie, I’m glad to see that biting sense of humor is genuine. I like a woman that can make me laugh.
While there is angst, it is not over the top or drawn out for the length of the book. This is a lovely story of two unlikely and vastly different people, falling in love. The cast from the previous books have limited appearances, and we are introduced to additional supporting characters. They bring the perfect balance to the storyline of Reese and Ben. I love the complete and unique storyline for Ben and Reese. Five Ways can easily be read as a stand alone. However, I highly recommend reading all the books in the series. It is one not to be missed!
