When We Collided by Emery Lord

3.0

When We Collided is colourful, exuberant and lively at first. Vivi Alexander is a character you know you want to meet, who intrigues and encapsulates you with her fashion sense, her zest and her brilliant energy. And when she collides with Jonah Daniels and his grieving family, they seem to complement each other in dealing with grief and loneliness. But Vivi hides a dark secret - she suffers from bipolar disorder. I was intrigued while reading about what happens to a bipolar patient, and how it affects their life. It is a beautiful story of facing your fears and dealing with how your life will change. I admired Vivi and her zest and courage, while sympathising with how she struggles with the voices in her head. It is an eye opener of how these patients suffer, and I enjoyed reading the twists and turns in the story.
