It’s so beautifully written and deep.
The reader must dive into their own psyche and re-confront - if they have already - or confront their own traumas, pain and nightmares all the while walk alongside the boys. It’s a journey of self worth in being a friend to someone and being called someone’s friend. Profoundly moving and just heartbreakingly beautiful.

I’ve seen reviews that have reduced this to trauma porn but that’s a ‘reader problem’ not a book problem and those people are just not ready to open themselves to this writing - which is ok.

I didn’t read the TW but was confident in my ability to filter the content. If you struggle with reading/seeing triggering things, do double check these.
