When I first started this book, I was utterly bored. Not a lot happened, but it did help paint a picture of Area X and what would later come. For me, it really picked up after 80 or so pages.
It is really wordy and hard to understand in some places, but it is still very good. I recommend this to anyone who can really deal with wordiness and a slow beginning.
