This story tells how a cool and stoic man who never dreamed he could be lucky in love, not only finds love but love with the woman he's dreamed of. He is surprised when emotions starts bubbling forth that he never knew he had towards his lady love and their son. This story just proves that the greatest and most satisfying emotion we have is love.
NOTE: after re-reading on 11 August 2024. It's been a long time since I first read "Vasily's Revenge." I'd forgotten how he waited a long time to get his revenge and how Lily wanted to protect him, unlike what happened the first time he tried to protect her. Now, he's really earned his place in the Medlov Council and has his own family, something he thought he would never have with the women he's loved for a long time. .
