i can see why storygraph recommended this to me so strongly
i found this much more pleasant to read than norwegian wood, at least. murakami says in the introduction that he had a good time writing it as well, which is nice to think about. no authors suffered in the writing of this book.
after reading it i had a lot of questions that i tried to find the answers for but it seems like murakami is inscrutable and things are generally left up to interpretation.
still, i think its a great story about loss, grief, and what could have been. also about love. id say the writing of lesbians was abit less ??? in this than it was in norwegian wood.
love me some magical surrealism
