I really wish goodreads would allow you to give half stars. I was extremely excited when I received this ARC because I LOVED the first three books in this series SO much! This one fell just a tad short for me since I had such huge expectations, hence the 4.5 rating I'd give it.
I didn't enjoy Easton in this book as much. I guess because we are seeing his full personality instead of him being more of a comedic relief in the other books. I felt like he kept making the same mistakes and never really learned. I understand he has an addiction issue but I would have liked to see more growth. I'm assuming since there will be a second book that is when he'll finally learn. I really like Hartley, she seems like a great fit for Easton but she was so closed off for most of the book. I didn't really get to the point of wanting them together, not sure how Easton will be able to make up for what he has done either. Great cliffhanger at the end though! The authors really know how to combine great drama, serious situations and a little comedy to make it so much more than a romance story!
