ʚ・jack stapleton: jack is BABYGIRL. he is a GIGGLER. he is CUTE and CHARMING. he does tricks on HORSES. need i say more? he is top ten in my list of Babygirls.
ʚ・rom-com energy: this book is a rom-com wrapped in pages. it's so funny, cute and comforting. i can literally envision a rom-com movie based on this.
ʚ・light and fast-paced: this is less than 300 pages, fast-paced and the writing style makes it breeze by. highly recommend for a quick read!
ʚ・reverse grumpy x sunshine: jack and hannah's dynamic is everything, tbh. the fun and charming guy getting the so serious and professional (and very unintentionally funny) girl to loosen up and live life? all while they help each other open up about their pasts and what troubles them? this delivered, i fear.

i can’t say i wish the story went deeper or wasn’t as shallow in certain parts because that’s not what this book is trying to be. it’s meant to be lighthearted and not super serious, and for what it is, it’s great.
however,
ʚ・kennedy monroe: kennedy is the typical "gorgeous and superficial A-list celebrity" that's used to make hannah look like a better fit for jack. and, honestly, she felt cartoonish. she isn't always presented in the story in a misogynistic way, but the way she acts feels like a caricature, honestly. some other characters do, too (like: robby).
ʚ・cringey scenes: i really like this book, but the "who would pick her?" scene? i was screaming (and not in a good way). one of my biggest book icks is when one of two characters (usually both of them women) is making digs at the other while everyone else just watches. it gets even worse when it turns into a "we stand in solidarity with our main character and not you because you’re the bad one" moment. oh my GOD, it’s worse than torture for me.
