The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow
2.0
In this book we learn what happened to the barely acknowledged, Mary Bennet of Pride and Prejudice. I started this book with great expectations of possibilities considering the time frame and what a woman's role could be. And for much of the book, I was not disappointed.
Unfortunately, the final chapters fell into some redundant and sadly predictable activities involving multiple missed opportunities to put the book back on track, etc. I found it very frustrating and felt the author had missed a wonderful opportunity to bring the book to a unique conclusion. I felt the author just gave up in the end and used the predictable ending.
