Amelie is set to marry Wilder to connect their families. Except he’s killed at the alter and, instead she’s married off to his brother, Luca. After that, there’s violence and captivity and nonsense.
I can’t believe I finished this book. I think I was just so confused that I kept reading in hopes everything would be explained. Spoiler: nothing was explained.
The timeline was all over the place and the plot was confusing AF. Does Luca love her? Has he always loved her? Why? Why does Amelie keep doing the things she’s doing? Why is she so mad at Luca?
Add to that, two wholly unlikable MCs and it’s just a mess.
