Angels Flight by Michael Connelly

Harry Bosch book 6 and a cracker of a read . Harry is in the middle of the night called into investigate the murder of a prominent civil right lawyer , notorious for suing LAPD he is due to start a high profile trial. As Harry is no longer in robbery and homicide he and his two clooegaues have to tread very carefully as it seems top brass want to pin the crime on a police officer to quell simmering racial tensions at the end of the 1990's which has seen the Rodney King riots, the OJ Simpson trial and a police force seen as racist. A real page turner, told with pace , and a flawed lead detective who will keep me hooked for many books to come.
