I feel like I really enjoyed this book, but it was a really dense read. Caliban as a character is one of the most sympathetic villains I’ve ever read he’s truly sinister. Fowles has a way of getting your hopes up over and over again only to crush them over and over again. Miranda is a heartbreaking character and you feel for her for the entire book you root for her freedom
