I was never a die-hard Duggar fan, but I was always fascinated by the family. The book shares a lot, so I enjoyed it for that, but it was hard to listen to her talk about mission trips and how they felt very “white savior” and casual mentions of the COVID pandemic—sending your kid to kindergarten as usual and going on dates in September 2020 will never not rub me the wrong way.
