this book is an anthology of 8 short stories that span 100 years. each of them are linked by infected humans called the sharded. basically the bad guys. and synthetic replicants, clones, and humans are all affected by them.

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™˜๐™๐™–๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™จโ€ฆ i didnโ€™t really connect with any of these characters, although i did feel sad for Glebโ€ฆ bless him, he didnโ€™t deserve any of it. those stories were short glimpses into their lives, so i felt like i didnโ€™t have enough time to actually start caring for them.

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ฎ๐™ก๐™šโ€ฆ it was often matter-of-fact type and there was no emotion in it whatsoever. but it still was written in a way that kept me interested to keep going. i also really loved the pictures, they were sooo fucking creepy. ๐Ÿ‘€

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฉโ€ฆ i liked how this book wasnโ€™t at all serious, but entertaining. this world really fascinated me and i wanted to know more about the whole situation between the sharded, synthetics and humans. most of it didnโ€™t really make too much sense but somehow still gripped me in. i wonโ€™t deny that one story did drag and i was starting to get bored, but most of these stories were quite fascinating. also this ending, didnโ€™t really expect that. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ one more thing i found interesting was that all of these stories were connected with each other through different characters. i feel like this book isnโ€™t for everyone and i can see why some people wouldnโ€™t like it, but it worked for me!
