Last Violent Call by Chloe Gong

5.0

guys, are we surprised that this is 5 stars? cause im not. ever since FLF, i have been obsessed with chloe gong, and im not kidding. i own, 8 copies of FLF plus the arc i got- 9....its a problem, anyways-

a foul thing
OMG GUYS- [redacted] & [redacted] being happy made me truly giggly and i loved every minute of it. they refer to each other as my love very often and i love it lots. it was so different to how they were in the other books, that i appreciated the fluff so much. chloe gong is very good at writing banter bc i eat up anything by her. i think foul lady fortune had the best and most banter than the duology.

”we need to talk about your driving, i thought we were about go crash multiple times.”
“i’m sorry. personally i think i drive quite well for someone who had chauffeurs all his life”

to him, [redacted] was the sun

”stop teasing, i am very unhappy about each scar you pick up.”

this foul murder
benmar makes my heart happy period. marshall is such a comfort character fr- i love him so much, he reminds me so much of kenji and i think that's why i also love him a lot. im so glad i got to see these two as a happy couple, like it genuinely brings me joy, benmar for life<3 their banter may be better than the couple in a foul thing i loved them trying to solving a murder on the train, it was so much fun to read about and had me trying to figure out who the murderer was too.

”im going to kill you.”
“noooo, we’re trying to catch a murderer, not become one”

”i needed to be the one to ask, who knows whether you might wait another ten years like the first time.” ifykyk :)

ME REFERRING TO THE FIRST TWO CHARACTERS AS REDACTED INCASE THEIR NAMES IS A SPOILER- idk some ppl are scary about spoilers and stuff
