"Dear old world," she murmured, "you are very lovely, and I am glad to be alive in you."
I've loved this story since I was a kid and will continue to love it. I think it is the best cast of characters with the best relationships of any book I have ever read. The luscious descriptions of Avonlea and Prince Edward Island-one of the most beautiful places in Canada in my opinion- are wonderful. Following Anne from a headstrong, imaginative girl to a mature young woman is a heartwarming and wholesome adventure from beginning to end.
