Absolutely stunning. A dark and lush account of a life lived over centuries, poised on a knife’s edge between reverent devotion and utter terror. This is the first book I’ve ever read that made me want to write my own.

Listening to the audiobook is a MUST. Abby’s voice was like warm velvet, transporting me entirely, and making even the simplest sentence feel rich with emotion. Truly so good I’m going to look up her other work immediately and pray they peak my interest. Likewise I’m going to read everything ST Gibson has to offer in perpetuity. Incredible.
