I'm deeply grateful to Adjei-Brenyah for the acknowledgement of humanity that is so often stripped from incarcerated peoples, and for asking the ethical and moral questions that Americans desperately ignore. A much-needed dose of art as resistance for me. If you don't understand why abolition is key, read the chapter beginning on page 281.
