Dead Is a Killer Tune by Marlene Perez

3.0

This seventh book in Marlene Perez's Dead Is series was a quick read; I finished it in three short sittings. It's shorter than its previous six sisters. That in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but I thought this plot was less interesting than the plots of previous Dead Is novels. The clues are obvious, the twist is a short leap, and the stakes for Jessica aren't nearly as high as they were in the first Jessica-centered novel, [b:Dead is a Battlefield|12176927|Dead is a Battlefield (Dead Is, #6)|Marlene Perez|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1315936680s/12176927.jpg|17148631]. If there's a next book in this series, the villains had better be a whole lot more exciting.
