Shadowland: The Immortals by Alyson Noël

3.0

This book, it was so frustrating! Ever was so resistant to everything, and thought she knew everything. And since the book is from her perspective it made everything that even more grating. I just wanted to strangle her, there were event parts in this book she reminded me of Bella Swan! And I started reading this series because this was supposed to be better than Twilight! This book really wasn't. With Ever thinking she knows everything just made it worse.

Damon was actually tolerable in this novel. You can see where he is coming from. Though I don't really get why he wanted to risk everything with Ever by showing her more of her past and who she was sharing it with. I liked his sudden change, with figuring that karma is a bitch and you do have to watch out for it. His change was pleasant, and understandable. I think this book would've been 100times better if Damon had been the one narrating.

The climax of the novel is so predictable, as you can tell by the way Roman is narrating it. I mean really Ever? How stupid are you? Yeah I suppose it proves that she loves everyone deeply and can't let anything go but seriously, half the stuff that happens is your fault. Don't mess with things you don't know. I just hope the next book is better, but it'll be the fall out from her stupidity in this book. Great.
