Not going to lie...I was terrified to start this book. After the ending of Golden Son I was like O.O!!

I feel like I had every emotion while reading this. Anger, happiness, stress, sorrow, and sadness. All I know for sure is that no one is safe!

After the tragedy of Golden Son, I knew I was in for pain and sadness. I prepared by reading all the time and barely working. No one wanted to give me spoilers...rude...but I hit the painful scenes and made it through

with poise...sobbing...what's the difference. This is the best book I have read in a while. I read a decent amount of books and this one took my soul and destroyed it. So in other terms it was amazing. Cassius I'm watching you.

It opens with Darrow in a hole. In the dark. Laying in his own filth. With nothing but silence and his own thoughts to keep him occupied. One of the worst forms of torture. The mind can really fuck you up man.

So right from the beginning I was crying for my Reaper and all the Howlers aka my babies. Precious babies.

Killing Ragnar broke me in half.

I don't want to talk about it again. It happened it's over haha. So much happened I can't even keep my head around it all. I marked everything that made me feel things and I can't choose which to mention here.

I almost spit my water across my room when I read the line "Bye Felicia." Like omg I love how Pierce pulls in pop culture lmfao I was dying it was perfection.

The ending....tore me apart.

It was just...most of what I wanted. Some of those who were "taken out" didn't die the way they deserved. Some should have been torn apart bit by bit...but hey that's how it goes right? Death begets death begets death and all.

The Jackal died the way he should have. Alone. With no one to pull his legs.

This is the first trilogy where I did not have a book boyfriend. I had a book girlfriend. Mustang is everything!!!! I love her more than anyone else. She's just...FDKSAFHDSAFHAGH BAE. I fucking love her. If I chose someone else after Mustang I would choose Darrow. Hahaha.
