This was my most anticipated read for 2023 and it was amazing! There were times when my jaw literally dropped and I thought OMG @isabelleolmobooks HOW COULD YOU!  Family secrets, lies, spies, battles, and the BETRAYAL! My heart 💔😨😭 The plot twists were so well done that I didn’t see them coming! Hira’s character development throughout was phenomenal! Not only do we get strong, courageous and resilient women in Hira, Almira and Captain Sanaa. We also get a viciously cruel, ambitious, conniving female villain in Furia. She’s the kind of villain you love to hate! Then we have the spicy romance that accompanies the story. Queen Almira and her devoted husband King Alton are still madly in love and we are introduced to the morally grey, swoon worthy Commander Justan. It was captivating to read and the ending left me wanting more! It foreshadowed what’s to come in the next book and I can’t wait to read it! Loved it!  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
