Not Senshi making me tear up… Kui does such an excellent job at impactful scenes with panel composition and expression. The intrigue builds up with every chapter. The bonds between each character become deeper and stronger as they go further into the dungeon and the stakes become higher. I loved Laios’s unwavering support for Senshi, bolstered by his adamant confidence in his knowledge of monsters, to bring closure to a terrible era in his life.
The nature of monsters, of every race in the world honestly, is brought into question as well. The manga is thoughtful in challenging core assumptions and reckoning with the consequences of ignorance and stubbornness.
