I had mixed opinions about the show, and now have mixed opinions about the books. There are some fairly big differences between the two, but I did not particularly mind. This book is a quick read and starts off well. Later, however, there is a specific scene that left a bad taste in my mouth and lowered my overall enjoyment of the book. Outside of Daphne, Simon, and Violet, all of the characters seem very one-dimensional.
