I’m rereading all the books I own, and this was a very good follow up to the first one. I did, however, feel the need to black out where the r slur was used twice. This is an old copy, so perhaps it might have been fixed in later editions? But that made me very uncomfortable and slightly dinged the rating. Otherwise, the book really drew me in. I still got the shock of the surprises, just a little bit sooner as I was reminded of what was going to happen next. I’m keeping this book, too.
