The Myth of the Nice Girl: Achieving a Career You Love Without Becoming a Person You Hate by Fran Hauser

3.0

I wanted to read this book because I have heard a lot of women around me saying that they want to be true to themselves during work. They don't want to be the B*tch that everyone hates but get the work done.

Fran's experience was insightful but nothing new. To me, she is someone who is privileged and got to the best universities and aced her way to corporate life.

However, I love the fact that she was genuinely nice and kind to people around her without being too nice. She talked about her mistakes and how she redeemed herself by being true to herself. Another thing I loved about this book is that with each chapter or experience she highlight task lists or things you can say during a certain situation.

Thank you, Fran, for this book, I've enjoyed it and will recommend it to my friends.
