This is my first read from this author, but it won't be my last! This story is part four of a series of standalones. I do feel as though not reading the previous books some scene were kinda lost on me, but it can be read as a standalone as well. Our fmc is an actress and talented singer who takes risks, throwing caution to the wind, and has a big personality. Meanwhile, the mmc is an electrician by day and has a secret talent for music. He's quiet, almost to the point of being shy. The two connect strongly through music right away and both attempt to deny their feelings as they are pushed to work together to write and perform an album.

I may be too American for some of the humor in this book. I was checking Google for a LOT of what appears to be Scottish slang. But hey, I love learning new things, so this didn't bother me at all. While the humor of the book is light hearted, the journey of both main characters was well done. She must figure out what she truly wants and he must leave his comfort zone. The third act break up, while certainly not my favorite trope, worked here to push both mcs toward figuring that all out.
