It's the year of nostalgia for me, so I've been reading a lot of stories i remember fondly from my childhood. And, boy is that dangerous.

Nostalgia reads are like playing russian roulette, and unfortunately for me this time around, i didn't get the comforting click of an empty chamber. I lost pathetically and my bullet came in the form of WAY more incest than i remembered??? Maybe twelve year old me was stupid or maybe i repressed the hell out of this story, replaced only with the delightful warmth of scholastic book fairs past. Either way, every attention brought to the fact that they're step siblings (and somehow this is never their first concern) makes me extremely uncomfy. Not to mention all of the outright manipulation tactics that i can spot now only because I've heard it before.

Suffice to say, this Won't be read again. Nor will i suffer through the rest of this series. I've learned my lesson for possibly the first time in my life
