There is nothing that particularly stands out as wrong, or bad, with this novel, but besides some key names and a couple key moments, this reads like any other mystery YA. I would've preferred more emphasis on Holmes' personality and key character traits, but he mostly seems like a typical teenage boy with a rough childhood.
