At the Existentialist Café: Freedom, Being, and Apricot Cocktails with Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus, Martin Heidegger, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Others by Sarah Bakewell

4.5

damn. did not think a biography of a group of philosophers would make me CRY. I got so unexpectedly emotional during that last chapter about the ends of their lives :(( this book is phenomenal (ha) and I wish I had read it two years ago when I was hopelessly lost in a twentieth-century philosophy of dissent class.
