The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton

1.0

I won a copy of this book. I was excited to read it. In fact, I was ready to settle in and get lost into the story. The book started out ok. I was not really feeling the characters other then maybe Ruby due to her innocence. However the Alaskan wilderness as a backdrop lent a good scene for this story. This is part of what drew me to this book in the first place. Yet as I got further into the story the characters just could not live up to the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. Plus, it was pretty obvious where the story was going regarding the disappearance of Matt. Which when I found myself more skimming the story then actually reading it, I did jump ahead to the last third of the story. Again there was no real surprise about the ending. Sadly this book just was not for me.
