I had a hard time following and staying focussed on the story line and when the peak of the action was over and all loose ends were quickly wrapped up, I was left feeling a bit disappointed in the abrupt ending where of course Joe and his buddies had conquered all, no thanks to any outsiders. Also, I just don't agree with the underlying political stance of the author so I'm sure that has an influence as I was rolling my eyes a lot.
