This tale of Isabelle, Gaeton & Beast is very similar to Learning My Lesson which featured Meg, Hades & Hercules. The biggest difference is that both men used to date Isabelle but they had since broken up.

I know the plot isn’t the point of this series, nor of Katee Robert’s work in general, but it would be nice to see a little more background on why anything is happening. Instead we just get told how important an event is or that not taking action would result in something bad. The series in general explains that these villains each have “territory” in the city but we are not told how this really works. The best I can surmise is that they are akin to gangs and there are regular people in the city who have absolutely nothing to do with anything but it’s pretty unclear.
