If you’re looking for a book that is the perfect summer beach read, but also great for the fall/winter months, this one is definitely it. I listened to this on audio and absolutely devoured it. I typically only listen to audiobooks in the car on my way to/from work, but it got to a point where I was sitting in my driveway for a good 30+ minutes after getting home because I needed to know what was going to happen next. Although somewhat predictable, the writing was great and I instantly fell in love with the characters, especially Ava. I will admit that Joe somewhat annoyed me off and on though. I also feel like the book itself was unnecessarily long and there were scenes that could have been edited out without affecting the storyline. This was the first book I have read (or listened to) by Mary Kay Andrews and I can’t wait to read more from her!
