The Fiddler's Gun by A.S. Peterson

2.0

Hmm. A hard one to review. It's deep, with complex characters; good writing. But I found it dark. Parts of it I really liked, but between the language (shocking!) and the darkness of it I couldn't call it a favorite. I would like to read the sequel, because the story's really not done with this book. It was interesting to read this concurrently with a more scholarly book on the Revolution; this reminded me that in spite of all the economic and political causes of the war (quite interesting in themselves) it was fought (and suffered) by real people.
