GOD. edith wharton you break my heart. this book is so so slow at the beginning but as soon as i got used to the book my heart was being broken. i will defend newland archer with everythign in me because he was just a romantic and genuine person in an in-genuine time. the story between him and countess olenska is full of tragedy, longing, and lots and lots of irony. this book keeps you invested about a story of boring rich new yorkers. i thought i’d hate this book but by the end i was reading it so fast trying to find out what was going to happen !!
