探偵ガリレオ [Tantei Garireo] by 東野 圭吾, Keigo Higashino

2.0

this is the second higashino keigo book i've read, and i'm starting to realize that i may just not be a fan. weird. sherlock-holmes-ian types of mysteries tend to irritate me, because you can never really win. either you know the "trick" that solves the mystery, or you don't; end of story. the motive behind the crime is almost an afterthought, and the characters just the instruments for the clever trick. yeah, it can be interesting, but so what?? i never feel like i'm being challenged to use my little grey cells. give me an agatha-christie-type murder mystery any day!
