Indulgence in Death by J.D. Robb

3.0

Good not great. I've read this series from the beginning, when the books were fun and exciting and original, all the way to this book where the last several books have gotten stale and boring and repetitious. I'm not going to go into great detail about everything that is wrong with the series at this moment because it will take too long. I'm just disappointed that the author has come to a place where her incredible power couple of Eve and Roarke have dare I say, started to become boring since they rarely face any challenges other than risks to their lives.
The story wasn't bad compared to some of the previous books, it actually would have gotten 4 stars except the murderer was revealed halfway through the book and the rest was about trapping them. Boring and there wasn't any twists and turns to the story. You could figure it out very early on in the book, and what's the purpose of reading a mystery if its not creative? unfortunately these days Nora Roberts is writing 5 books a year, and its impossible for someone to come up with incredible and brilliant plot lines for every book she writes on that time table. I'm disappointed because I for one would rather read 1 fantastic book from this series a year than 3 mediocre ones.
