This was okay. I’ll preface with saying I’m not a big romance reader so I could be biased. I read this bc my bf (a hockey player) heard about the trend of hockey romance books and I was commissioned to see if they were accurate. I ended up picking this one bc the coach’s daughter thing interested me.
I will say what hockey was featured was fairly accurate. I thought the book was going to be a more forbidden romance type w her as the coach’s daughter but it was really a fairly standard fwb to lovers. I also felt like there was just way too much smut. Like I’m not even a prude like that but there was almost no plot. If you’re into that cool, but I was hoping for more story. What story we did get felt a little predictable. I think the story could have been a lot more interesting and fleshed out. Some aspects just fell flat or felt like strange(ex Penny having a traumatic sexual experience and then wanting to do a bunch of sex stuff with a cooper before she even really knew him just felt odd).
If you’re looking for a slot of smut you’ll enjoy this but if you’re hoping for a solid story line I wouldn’t bother
